Riptide GP2 is one heck of a racer. Not only does it have some of the coolest water effects, but also a Career mode and four-person online play. It's easy to get distracted by all the pretty special effects, but you'll be able to keep your eyes on the track with these Riptide GP2 hints.
-Although the game has default tilt controls, you can switch to touchscreen controls from the Settings menu.
-Refill boost by performing stunts in mid-air, achieved by swiping in various directions on the touchscreen.
-Avoid pulling off the same trick repeatedly, as this may impact your ability to refill the boost meter.
-Best time to use boost: on straightaways. Avoid pressing the boost button while navigating through turns, at least until you have more experience. Never use it while in the air.
-Pause the game to view a list of stunts you can execute.
-Complicated tricks may require bigger air off ramps. Try hitting the boost button right before flying up a ramp.
-Having trouble playing Riptide GP2? Head into Default Settings where you can tinker with the game's resolution for a smoother frame rate, or check out Advanced Settings to toggle off/on a variety of effects, such as Hi-Res Textures, Water Reflection and Boost Blur FX. Doing this, however, may negatively impact the game's performance.
-Replay previously completed races to earn more cash and XP. You can also score more virtual currency by liking Vector Unit on Facebook, Google + and Twitter.
-Always pay attention to the number of laps.
-Spend cash to upgrade your vehicle's attributes, like Acceleration, Top Speed, Handling and Boost.
-Spend Skill Points to earn new skills. Knowing more stunts will guarantee boost at the best possible moments.
-You may want to save cash in order to purchase different hydro jets. You can only upgrade weaker models so much.
-To view the current amount of XP, XP needed to reach next level and current number of Skill Points, simply tap your name in the top right corner of the screen.
